Released in 2018, Finding the Way captures Al Brenner at his most personal and socially conscious. Across fifteen tracks, he explores themes of environmental concern, resilience, and human connection, weaving together a narrative that feels both intimate and universal.

The album opens with “Global Warming Blues”, a raw and resonant reflection on modern anxieties, and flows naturally into songs like “Appalachians Spring” and “Listen,” where his folk roots shine brightest. Each piece is grounded in heartfelt songwriting — simple, direct, and emotionally honest.

With Finding the Way, Brenner doesn’t aim for grand spectacle; instead, he offers clarity and sincerity. The result is an album that feels like a quiet conversation with the listener — one about change, compassion, and the courage to keep searching for a better way.
